About

I'm a finance student at Algonquin College in Ottawa, heading into financial planning.

My parents ran their own businesses, so I grew up around business and spent a while looking for the part of it that was mine. Finance was it, and financial planning is what I landed on, because it's person to person. You sit with someone, help make their life a little better, and show them it's possible.

I work in retail sales right now, and it has taught me that selling is not enough. The part that matters is explaining things properly, working through what someone actually needs, and being honest when something isn't right for them.

I enjoy this work, honestly. I like talking about it, and when I have time I write about it, which is why I built this site. I work in both English and French, which matters in a city like Ottawa. I'm early in this and working on my certifications and licences.
